Back in early 2001 there were a group of young(er!) musicians stretching their musical wings in the Cambridge area thanks to the old, dark but much missed venue The Boat Race and a certain Singer/Songwriter night hosted by the ever lovely Sam Inglis. With two of the acts - who first met at this excellent gathering - releasing their debut albums this year, it seemed like a great time to get together this old gang and put on a bit of a show!
Joint headlining the night will be Clara Kousah w/band (http://www.clarakousah.com - debut album "Dark To Light" available now) and Sunday Driver (http://www.sundaydriver.co.uk - album set for release in August). Joining them on the stage will be Sam Inglis who started it all for us, and the ever lovely Rob W Jackson and his fabulous singing guitar!!

James Hurley and Clara Kousah -- Well travelled Californian resident James Hurley’s exposure to different countries, cultures, and his own natural inclinations have made his music a unique fusion of blues, jazz, rock, and pop that crosses musical boundaries. James is a real joy to listen to and to watch. He very casually does some phenomenal things on guitar while singing his truly original and melodically courageous songs. -- Clara Kousah is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter from Cambridge with a wonderfully rich, spell-binding voice and a writing style that staggers from the deeply emotional to a light and trouble-free carelessness. With undercurrents of warm humour and stark severity, her songs portray the intensity of her feelings about love and life, God and karma, politics and nature, and everything inbetween. A contradiction in styles and moods, Clara will be promoting her debut album, aptly entitled ’Dark To Light’. http://www.myspace.com/jameshurley and http://www.myspace.com/clarakousah
