Clara Kousah is a singer/songwriter from Cambridge in the UK with a spell-binding voice and provocative lyrics which combine to produce music that is raw, refreshing and ultimately indefinable.
With undercurrents of warm humour and stark severity, her songs portray the intensity of her feelings about love and life, God and karma, politics and nature, and everything inbetween.
Her influences range from Tori Amos to Dolly Parton to NIN and she has been described as sounding like a cross between Joni Mitchell and Siouxsie and the Banshees, with hints of Evanescene, All About Eve and Ani DiFranco.
Clara's gig highlights for 2007 include performing at the ever popular Cambridge summer festival The Strawberry Fair, supporting Mark Morriss of The Bluetones on his acoustic tour, and supporting Tina Dico of Zero 7.
She has also supported internationally acclaimed artists such as Toni Catlin, Doug Hoekstra, James Apollo and Cherry Ghost.
The debut album, produced by Russ Russell (Napalm Death, The Wildhearts) and entitled 'Dark To Light', is due for release in April 2008 - be sure to catch Clara live across the UK on her promotional tour!

So what can I say? I haven't been messaging here for a little while due to the insanity of rushing around getting the aforementioned recording into reality...
